November Legislative Committee Report

Introduction: My first instinct in creating this month’s report was to type “Good Luck” and call it complete. Instead I’ve decided to treat my glass as half full. As a result of last week’s election, Republican Mike DeWine will take over as Ohio’s Governor in January, while Republicans maintain a supermajority in the Ohio Legislature. This means that the architects of the 3rd grade guarantee, current Grad Requirement, HB 70’s State Takeoversof districts (see Lorain), OTES, etcetera remain in power in Columbus.
